We are Winnipeg's ORIGINAL and best luxury themed room cat sitter officially established in 2023! Our Google reviews and wait list speak for us. Your sitter has over 25 years experience working specifically with cats from professional and personal backgrounds in animal welfare, protection and law enforcement. We are certified in Pet First Aid, Animal Psychology, Feline Behavior and Health . We use Fear Free principals. Experienced in medication administration, behavioral management, common illnesses, mobility issues and breed characteristics. We will care for aggressive/difficult cats at our discretion. We will be honest if we don't feel the environment we provide will be a suitable for your cat(s) needs or recommend in-home sitting .  We offer other unique services you won't find elsewhere  such as our very popular 'Banjo's Buddy' socialization program, behavioral consultations  and  supplies difficult to find.

Cats are majestic, complex creatures of habit and are easily stressed when put in a new environment which can lead to illness and unusual or undesirable behavior. From our lifetime of experience we know cages, sounds and smells of boarding or kennel facilities make it more stressful than it needs to be and offer an alternative, while still being able to benefit the cat rescue community.   Prior to officially being 'Meowtel Inn', we were providing specialized fostering and consultations for many Manitoba cat rescues and Rover clients. We were involved in the development of feral kitten and socialization foster programs at the Winnipeg Humane Society, community social services pet food bank initiatives and successfully changing Winnipeg laws to allow Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) programs to help curb cat overpopulation. We have fostered 100's of cats with social or medical issues to adoption or alternative placements, saving them from euthanasia or surrender. We are still involved with rescue work and very concerned about animal welfare, actively advocating for changes to laws and pet care industry standards. This is not a 'side gig' - this is a passion by a professionally respected and experienced cat enthusiast who wants to support rescues and cats in another way. We do not warehouse cats for profit and we believe good pet care is not just about cuddling cute cats. Our goal is always to provide quality, enriching, meticulous care to every kitty client based on individual needs, upholding our exceptional safety and care standards.  

A portion of every booking goes back to the cat rescue community! We support several local grassroot cat rescues. ​​​​​

Amenities include:  in a cozy themed home environment, your cats will be immersed in a world of lush jungle greenery, oceanic blues, midieval castle grays or spacious condos. Guests enjoy a window perch with natural daylight, TV, several visits per day, climbing structures, enrichment, plush bedding, stainless litter boxes, clay or wood pellet litter, stainless dishes, a/c or heat, overnight humans directly on premises and 24/7 live kitty cam (theme rooms only)! Every service by appointment only.

You are required to provide:

• your cat's food, any specialty litter, any medications, preferred treats or a favorite toy.  You may bring a small blanket or clothing item. We prefer if you do not bring large beds or bedding as this can spread viruses and allergens. Please advise of any dietary requirements or restrictions.​​
