We were Winnipeg's first and original premium luxury themed room cat-only sitter. Our reviews, referrals and wait list speak for us. Your sitter has well over 25 professional and personal years experience working specifically with cats from an extensive background in animal welfare/protection, feline behavior and law enforcement. We not only love cats - we *know* cats and are:

  • certified in Pet First Aid, Animal Psychology, Feline Behavior & Health (accredited). We use Fear Free principals.

  • Experienced in medication administration, behavioral management, common illnesses, mobility issues and breed characteristics. We will care for aggressive/difficult cats at our discretion.

Amenities include:   Guests enjoy windows with natural daylight, TV, several visits per day, climbing structures, enrichment, plush bedding, stainless litter boxes & dishes, litter, a/c or heat, overnight humans directly on premises and 24/7 live kitty cam (theme rooms only). If your cat needs something else - we probably have it! Every service by appointment only.

**Cabanas (aka condos) are all indoor and enjoy all amenities except webcam.

You are required to provide:

  • your cat's food, any specialty litter (clay or pellets are provided), medications, preferred treats or a favorite toy.  You may bring a small blanket or clothing item for familiar scent. We prefer if you do not bring large beds or bedding as this can spread viruses, fleas and other allergens. Please advise of any dietary requirements or restrictions.

We will be honest if we don't feel the environment will be suitable for your cat or recommend in-home sitting to reduce stress.  Other unique services we offer you won't find elsewhere:  Our popular 'Banjo's Buddy' socialization/assessment program, behavioral consultations  and specialty supplies.  We offer grooming services including safe mat removal and nail trims (costs apply).

Cats are complex creatures of habit and easily stressed when put in a new environment which can lead to illness and unusual or undesirable behavior. We instantly recognize these symptoms to alleviate and mitigate them from years of experience.

Previously we were providing specialized fostering and behavioral or medical consultations for many Manitoba cat rescues. We are former Animal Protection Responders and former volunteers involved in the development of feral kitten and socialization foster programs at the Winnipeg Humane Society, pet food bank initiatives and successfully changed Winnipeg laws to allow Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) programs to help tackle cat overpopulation. We have fostered 100's of cats with social or medical issues to adoption or alternative placements, preventing euthanasia or surrender. We are still involved with rescue work and very concerned about animal welfare, actively advocating for changes to laws and pet care industry standards. This is not a 'job' - this is a passion by a professionally respected and experienced cat enthusiast who wants to support rescues and cats in another way. We do not warehouse cats for profit and  good cat care is not just about cuddling.  Our goal is always to provide quality, enriching, meticulous care to every kitty client based on individual needs, upholding our exceptional safety and care standards.

A portion of every booking goes back to  several local grassroot cat rescues!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

YES! We are insured pet sitters and extensively background checked well above industry standards!

* Distemper (FVRCP),  Rhinotracheitis (feline viral rhinotracheitis), Calicivirus, Panleukopenia (feline distemper),
OR Distemper  (FVRCPC) within 2-3 years unless advised against by veterinarian.

* Rabies  - within last 3 years.
* Feline Leukemia (FeLV) (indoor and outdoor cats) optional but highly recommended.

* ALL CATS OVER 6 MONTHS MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED. No exceptions without veterinarian note.

Will my cat be stressed out in a new place?

Truthfully - yes. Some cats are confident and adjust to new places quickly while others take time. Rest assured we have worked with many fearful, even aggressive cats over the years and we have socialized the worst of the worst!  After 3-4 days, cats usually become more comfortable.  A lot of abnormal behavior is normal in a new environment for cats but with our qualified experience, they relax faster.

Can we tour/where are you located?

It's stressful, interruptive and risks transmissable illness to our guests to have strangers parade through. We do not allow unscheduled visits.  Our general location is on Google Maps, only 15 minutes southwest from  Winnipeg airport!
